Getting it Together: The Garage Guide Top Five
March 31, 2022
It’s that time of year when our minds are on getting outside. But sometimes being outside means there are chores to be done. And sometimes when there are chores to be done means we need to organize that area so we can find the things needed to do said chores. It’s a whole thing. But don’t fret, our garage guide is here to help.
Gardening Zone
Make gardening a breeze by creating a gardening zone where things like a potting bench can live. Add hooks or nails for hanging large tools and shelving for smaller items. A boot rack will also be helpful.
Charging Station
We are a huge fan of wall-mounted shelving to hang tools for easy access. But even better than this is adding easy access to electrical cords so they charge while they hang. Genius!
Wall Tracks
Getting as much clutter off the ground will make using your garage so much easier. We are a huge fan of wall tracks. With these tracks, you can hang tools, chairs, ladders, bicycles, hoses, really anything. Heck, you may even be able to park a car in your garage now.
Laundry Nook
If you don’t have an area in your house for laundry, we’ve seen some really innovative laundry nooks in garages. Stack your washer and dryer, add a folder table and a sink if there is room, add some tile if you want to be fancy, and voila, you are ready to tackle your dirty laundry.
Sports
Sporting equipment can easily take up the whole garage. Creating a station for this equipment can save your time and sanity. Using things like divided laundry baskets and wall-mounted ball claws can store each of the different sports. Hanging some hooks on the wall and a basket below per kid can store uniforms and anything you might need to get them out the door quickly and easily.
