Smart Ways to Keep Your Clutter Hidden

As much as we are happy to be your place for Sparta NJ storage sometimes you just need a little extra storage wherever you can grab it. We love a good sneaky hack and we have not one but eight brilliant ones for you!

Skirted Tablecloths

When you think skirted tablecloths you might think of ones for kitchen or dining room tables, sure, but there are also ones for end tables, bedside tables and bathroom sink cabinets. Skirted tablecloths are a great way to keep clutter hidden, especially if you like a farmhouse vibe.

Bins and Baskets

Bins and baskets are hardly a new concept but taking an area, buying the appropriate sizes for what you want to store, can clean up a corner in a jiffy. Think giving the clutter a place to live in.

Glass Containers

Putting your commonly used items in a glass container makes things look ever so fancy. Think detergents, dry goods, or perhaps odds and ends from a junk drawer like rubber bands or coins. A matching set of these are inexpensive and go a long way, especially if things are living on a table top.

Under the Bed Storage

There are tons of great storage solutions for under the bed. Even if you have a low bed that’s no problem, you can buy some inexpensive risers to hike your bed up a bit so these storage solutions will fit nicely. You can keep comforters, blankets, sheet sets, clothing, throw pillows, etc under here. These are especially great if you change things out seasonally. Keep items in a bin or plastic bag though, so they don’t get dusty or bug eaten.

Hide a Desk

Do you need a desk but only sometimes? If you are limited on space having a hide a desk in a closet can be a great option for you. These foldable desks are there when you need it, but tuck away when you don’t.

Multi-Purpose Furniture

You already need furniture in your home, why not make it multi-purpose? Things like storage benches, ottomans and even picture frames and the like can you give you those extra nooks and crannies which can help more than you would think. Bonus points for setting aside some time each day to utilize these and get in the habit.

Stairs Storage

Did you know there are actually stairs that you can install that have drawers in each step? Genius we think, since that space is hardly ever utilized.

Pull Out Pantry

The kitchen is one of the areas where you never seem to have enough space. We’d like to introduce you to the concept of a pull out pantry. These storage units fit into the slim areas in between appliances that are rarely used, and can be used to store food, spices, pans and the like.

We hope these are helpful for you in the continuing fight we are all waging against daily clutter. If you found this helpful check out our previous blog on waging the war against kid clutter here.
