“New year, new me.” This is the mantra that goes through nearly everyone’s head during the new year, but how many people actually stick to it? Almost none. The key to living a happier and easier life and sticking to that mantra lies within the confines of your closet and your dressers in a clutter filled mess. The simplest way to making peace with your clutter is simply to get rid of the useless objects that have a way of taking over your home. Every hoarder has a limit and it is up to you to find yours. Whether it be old clothing or your bottle cap collection, you need to say “enough is enough” and toss it. However, if you find that you simply can’t part ways with your ancient tap shoes, the next simplest option is learning how to store it all.
Next to the garbage bin is your new best friend, the box. Boxes are efficient ways to place items in that you won’t be needing for a while or ever, and they’re easy to place in the basement or the garage, so although you still have your clutter, it’s neatly packed away. After you’ve regained control of your house and your mess is tucked away in the basement, you realize that your living area is looking way too organized and livable. This makes you think that you need to purchase more items in order to fill the place back up. Do not do that. I repeat. Do not do that. Unless, of course, you just want to go through the whole box process all over again.
